David Perry is a 25 year veteran/visionary of the gaming industry. David’s early years involved developing hits such as The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and The Terminator for Orion Pictures, Disney's Aladdin, 7-UP's Cool Spot, and McDonald's Global Gladiators, which won a slew of industry awards. In 1993 he founded Shiny Entertainment, where he developed many award-winning PC and video games including - MDK™ (1996), Wild9™ (1998), R/C Stunt Copter™ (1999), Messiah™ (2000) and Sacrifice™ (2000), the latter collecting more than 40 awards for Best Strategy. All told, Perry's games have grossed almost a billion dollars in sales. In 2002 David sold Shiny to Atari and he left the company in 2006. Currently David keeps busy as the Chief Creative Officer for Acclaim Games, as the CEO of his Game Consultancy business, as a columnist for Business Week and as the director of a community created MMO game. David sits on the advisory board of the Game Developers Conference and the Video Games Expo. , and is a regular speaker at conferences, colleges and industry research organizations.
